  1. CHAPTER 1
    1) Her parents were John II of Castile and Isabella of Portugal.
    2) People said that Henry couldn’t have children, and also resembled Beltrán de la Cueva (the handsome young royal favourite) in the eyes , nose , hair , face , shape, chin ...
    3) In the Farce of Avila, the noble rebels continued their campaign against Henry and took an effigy instead of Henry. The Archbishop of Toledo took the crown off the effigy, and others nobles took the effigy’s sword and the scepter, and they then kicked over poor Henry’s effigy.
    4) Alfonso died in 1468, probably by the plague, but his supporters didn’t believe this though. They said that he had been poisoned.

    CHAPTER 2
    1) The deal said that Henry would be the heir to the throne now that Alfonso was dead, and when he died, the throne would be Isabella. But he wanted to get rid of her sister marrying the brother of the king of France and thus, her daughter Joana, inherit the throne.
    2) Isabella controlled much of the centre of Castile with its powerful walled cities and towns, and she had the support of Aragon.
    Joanna had the support of many of the regions on the periphery of Castile, as well as that of Portugal and France.
    3) The Treaty of Alcáçovas said: Isabel would get the Castilian throne, and Joanna and Alfonso V abandon the throne in her favor. Princess Isabella would marry prince Alfonso of Portugal when they are the appropriate age. Joanna can stay in a convent or she can marry Prince John, the son of the Ferdinand and Isabella.
    4) They pardoned the nobles who had fought against them. (Better to keep those troublemaking nobles on their side, they probably thought)

    CHAPTER 1:

    1. John 2nd of Castile and Isabella of Portugal.

    2. Because they thought Joanna was Beltrán de la Cueva`s daughter. Beltrán de la Cueva was the favourite of the king.

    3. The rebel nobles read some accusations against Henry. Except the king wasn`t actually there, so they read them out to an effigy of Henry instead. Then the Archbishop of Toledo took the crown. Another noble broke a sword. It was an act for damage the reputation of the king.

    4. He was proclaimed king when he was only 11 years old.

    CHAPTER 2

    1. The Treaty of the Bulls of Guisando says Isabella should marry with the brother of Louis XI of France with the Henry`s permission. In return, Joanna couldn´t be the heir of the throne of Castile, that is, Isabella will be the queen.

    2. Joanna`s supporters: Louis XI of France, her uncle Afonso V of Portugal, the Archbishop of Toledo, the Marquis of Villena and the Marquis of Cádiz.

    Isabella`s supporters: the Crown of Aragon, the Mendoza family, the Duke of Medina Sidonia and the military orders from Santiago and Calatrava.

    3. After the win of Isabella, the Treaty of Alcaçovas says Joanna must be thewife of the son of Isabella and Ferdinand, who was only 1 year old. She didn´t this, she becames a nun.

    4. They pardoned the nobles who fought against Isabella.

    1) Who were Isabella's father and mother?
    -Isabella's father was John II of Castile and her mother was Isabella of Portugal.
    2) Why did people think Joanna la Beltraneja wasn't Henry's daughter?
    -Because the nobles thought that the true father could be Beltran de la Cueva, age 19.
    3) What happened in the Farce of Ávila?
    - On accusations against the nobles read Henry he was not really there and instead an effigy hers, the Archbishop of Toledo took the crown of the effigy, another noble took the sword of the effigy (symbolic of justice) and a third took the scepter (symbol of government real). After they kicked the effigy of Henry.
    4) What happened with Alfonso, Isabella's brother?
    -He was proclaimed king at 11 years and died suddenly in 1468, probably by the plague, but his supporters said they had been poisoned.

    CHAPTER 2

    1) What did the Treaty of the Bulls of Guisando consist of?
    - The Treaty consists in the king Henry gave up and in September 1468 the Treaty was agreed to appoint Guisando Isabella as her heir.
    2) Who supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession? And Isabella?
    -Joanna had the support of many of the regions on the periphery of Castile, Portugal and France.
    -Some of Joanna´s supporters became Isabella´s supporters and vice versa.
    3) What did the Treaty of Alcaçovas consist of?
    -The Treaty of Alcaçovas consists on the one side, Ferdinand and Isabella and the other the king of Portugal agreed to end the war of succession. Juana of Castile and Alfonso IV abandon their claim to the throne of Castile for Isabella, Alfonso married Isabel of Portugal when it has the appropriate age, Juana can stay in Portugal, enter a convent or marry Prince John, son of Catholic kings.
    4) How did Ferdinand and Isabella punish the nobles who had supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession?
    -The nobles fought against them in the war, preferring to have them on their side but the Pope annulled marriage joanne with alfonso of portugal, his uncle, and had a plan for Joanna marry the son of Ferdinand and Isabella, John, who was a cousin of one year old but joanne didn´t like the idea and went to live in a convent.

    c) Joanna of Castile and Alfonso V agree to abandon their claim to the Castilian throne in favour of Isabella. Isabella will abandon her claim to the throne of Portugal.
    d) They perdoned the nobles.

  7. CHAPTER 2:
    1) The king agreed to disinherit his daughter Joanna and Isbella became as his heir. Henry wanted to be allowed to rule until he died. Isabella wouldn't marry without Henry's permission.
    2) Joanna was supported by Louis XI of France and her uncle Alfonso V of Portugal.
    Isabella was supported by the Crown of Aragon.
    3) It consisted in: Joanna anf Alfonso gave the Castilian throne to Isabella. Isabella abandoned her claim to the throne of Portugal. All the territories disputed between Portugal and Castile will remain under the Portuguese control. Joanna can stay in a convent in Portugal or marry Prince John.
    4) They pardoned the supporters.

    2)Castilian nobles such as the Archbishop of toledo, the Marquis of Villena and the Marquis of Cádiz supported Joanna. And Castilian nobles such as the Mendoza family and de Duke of Medina Sidonia; the military order of Santiago and the military order of Calatrava supported Isabella.

    3)Joanna of Castile and Afonso V agree to abandon their claim to the Castilian throne in favour Isabella. Isabella will abandon her claim to the throne of Portugal. And Joanna can stay in Portugal and enter a convent, or she can marry Prince John, the son of Ferdinand and Isabella.

    4)Ferdinand and Isabella pardoned the nobles who had fought against them.

    Because she didn't look like Henry IV.

    3) What happened in the Farce of Ávila?

    Nobles rebels who were against Henry, removed him and crowed King to his brother.

    4) What happened with Alfonso, Isabella's brother? You can see here the Farce of Ávila in the serial "Isabel"?

    He was killed, possibily poisonez.


    CHAPTER 2:

    1) What did the Treaty of the Bulls of Guisando consist of?

    He would be the heir if he married Isabella, Ferdinand why he married her secretly.

    2) Who supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession?

    Alfonso V of Portugal.
    Ferdinand II of Aragón.

    3) What did the Treaty of Alcaçovas consist of?

    Isabel and Ferdinand abandon the territories of Portugal, and Henry and Joanna of Castile abandon the territories of Castile

    4) How did Ferdinand and Isabella punish the nobles who had supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession?

    Ferdinand and Isabella pardoned the nobles.

    Because she look Beltrán de la Cueva more than Henry IV.

    3) What happened in the Farce of Ávila?
    The rebel nobles make a theatre where they removed to Henry IV and crowed his half-brother Alfonso.

    4) What happened with Alfonso, Isabella's brother?
    He was killed, posibly poisoned.


    CHAPTER 2

    1) What did the Treaty of the Bulls of Guisando consist of?
    Henry IV's sister was the heir if Isabella (his sister) was married with the man that Henry likes.

    2) Who supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession? And Isabella?
    Afonso V of Portugal. Ferdinand II of Aragon.

    3) What did the Treaty of Alcaçovas consist of?
    Isabella and Ferdinand abandon the territories of Portugal, and Afonso V and Joanna abandon Castile and give the others territories of Castile.

    4) How did Ferdinand and Isabella punish the nobles who had supported Joanna during the War of the Castilian Succession?
    They pardoned the nobles.
