THE WAY OF SAINT JAMES

The Camino de Santiago, also known by the English names Way of St. James, St. James's Way, St. James's Path, St. James's Trail, Route of Santiago de Compostela and Road to Santiago, is the name of any of the pilgrimage routes to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried.

BATTLE OF LAS NAVAS DE TOLOSA

The  Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa , known in Arab history as the Battle of Al-Uqab  took place on 16 July 1212 and was an important turning point in the Spanish Reconquista.  Watch the video and answer the following questions:  a) Who was the king of Castile who led the Castilian forces?  b) Who was the king of Navarre at that moment? c) And the king of Aragon?  d) What about the king of Portugal? e) Who was the Caliph who led the Almohad army?
