CURIOSITY - RENAISSANCE

As you have been quite fast with the other exercise, let's try with these pieces of two paintings by one of the most important painters in the History of Art.

a) In this one try to see something "strange" in the painting. What is it? Look for its author and its title. Tell me the Renaissance characteristics you can see in this painting.



b) This second painting has also something "strange". Look for it and tell me. Sure you know the two famouse angels from posters, t-shirts... Look for its author and its title. Tell me the Renaissance characteristics you can see in this painting.

    A.Is los desposorios de la virgen de Rafael Sanzio.The paintings have volume and are religious.Iin this picture you can see the Delivery of the Keys to St. Peter.
    B.Is madonna sixtina de Rafael Sanzi.Rafael painted six fingers in the pope hand because he has got a sixth sense to interpret prophetic dream.this picture is painted in a cloth although he painted in a draw.

    A/This picture is called Betrothal of the Virgin Mary and San Jose and is the author Rafael Sanzio.
    CHARACTERISTICS:Its characteristics are that the colors are lighter than the other picture.The priest is at the center of the scene, which is between the Virgin and women, and St. Joseph, and all mans.this figures are inscribed in a semicircle, a circular shape that is repeated in the temple of the fund and how top of the table.
    B/This picture is called Sistine Madonna and also its author is Rafael Sanzio.
    CHARACTERISTICS:Its characteristics are that the colors are darker than the other picture.characterized by the imaginary space created by the figures themselves, who stand on a bed of clouds, the figure of the Virgin gives the impression of being descended from celestial space to the real world, in which the picture is hung.

    a. Marriage ceremony of the Virgin of Rafael Sanzio. Because this picture have a very good elegance of the characters in the compositions of the picture.
    b. Madonna Sixtina of Rafael Sanzio. Because the picture have a brillance technical and harmony of the compositions.

    A) The painting is called " Los desposorios de la Virgen" and it was painted by Rafael Sanzio. The curiosity is that the person that is wearing with blue clothes has got six toes in the foot.
    B) The painting is called "Madonna Sixtina" and it was painted by Rafael Sanzio. The curiosity is that the man that is in the left has got six fingers in his hand.

    The curiosity in the first picture is that San Jose has got six toes in the foot.
    The curiosity in the second picture is that the pope has got six fingers in the hand.

    a) The first painting is the " Desposorios de la Virgen " by Rafael Sanzio. Any characteristics of the Renaissance is the harmony of the compositions.

    b) This painting is from Rafael Sancio and it's name is " Madonna Sixtina". Any characteristic of the Renaissance is the technical brilliance. And the curiosity is the " aureola " of the Pope in his head.

    A)Desposorios de la Virgen-Rafael. The esplanade where the figures has a rectangular tiles that can represent the perspective projection of the space to a central vanishing point, which is located at the open door of the temple which gives the background landscape. The characters are located in a horizontal frieze, symmetrically distributed on either side of the priest aside women and other men.
    B)The author is Rafael. The title is Madonna Sixtina.
    That the man of the rigth has got seven fingers on his hand.
